3CE Glossing Waterful Foundation Review

It feels like forever since I last did a review on a particular product here (because it has been forever) and so I thought I'd do a review on a new purchase I made over the weekend. I've been going through a little phase where I've been overly obsessed with asian makeup and brands- the packaging, the pale white skin and the sweet cheeks. Ever since I got hooked on Pony Beauty Diary series on YouTube, I've been trying to get my hands on Asian brands.

Okay back to the review. I purchased some goodies from Luxola.com on Friday and it was delivered to my house on the very Monday after. I was awfully impressed- and on top of that I only paid 60% for the stuff- I used a coupon code and scored around $45 off. I'm already in love. Previously, I was skeptical and doubtful of most if not all online shopping because of my horrendous experience with CherryCulture (don't buy from them if you're based in Australia. They sent me wrong and missing items after 2 long months of waiting and emailing their customer service back and forth. Horrible!) Luxola sells a lot of asian stuff, particularly by 3CE. Another thing I really love is that they have beautyblenders, sigma brushes, and sleek makeup. Speaking of Sleek, I also got the opportunity to snag three of their famous eyeshadow palettes for $19 each (I am aware this is way more expensive than most places, but hey- they gave me express free shipping!) so look out for a Luxola haul and Sleek review post soon. I have a feeling I will be purchasing from Luxola a whole lot more in the foreseeable future.
Real stunner- absolutely love the packaging; so luxurious, sturdy and just so beautiful

To sum it all up quickly, it's a relatively thick glass bottle that doesn't attract dust or fingerprints as it is matte (beware of your nails though, it makes a horrid screeching if you scrape it on the ink). What I love is that it's sturdy and you can really feel its quality.

If you've heard of this foundation, you probably already know that it comes with a super useful pipette which keeps everything hygienic so you don't have to worry about making a mess or making it go off/expire prematurely.

The pipette is pretty well done- not tacky or plastic-y in the least. On the contrary, it's one of the best pipettes out there that comes with a foundation. It distributes just the right amount of product. One full squirt for a sheer glow, and two for an added layer of coverage. This pipette makes it so much easier to determine the right amount, and I never waste any product with this. Absolutely loveee this pipette.

Here is a semi-blended swatch and an unblended sample just to give you an idea of its color. This is Milk Ivory which is meant to have a yellow undertone, but the palest of the pale (out of 4 available shades, 2 are for yellow undertones and 2 are for pink undertones). Don't even consider this product if you have tanned skin. But pale girls, listen up!

Here is the foundation all blended in with an expert face brush. The shade is perfect for me; it blends in like a second skin and is absolutely undetectable. It does not settle into fine lines, but one thing I will have to say; it does cling onto my dry patches even though it is meant to be great on dry skin... I just find that this is not the case for me! So far, only the holika holika and bourjois healthy mix foundation have impressed me in that department. It does have a light sunscreen scent (because theres SPF 15++) and isn't too overpowering. I like to use my fingers or beautyblender with this product when I don't have my sunscreen on underneath as I like the SPF in it to be a little fuller- I've seen many girls sheer their foundation out to virtually nothing, which doesn't really do anything.

This foundation, as the name suggests, is very watery. It gives very little coverage, so you need pretty great skin to start off with. In the first 5 minutes from application you will notice it is slightly sticky and feels like sunscreen. This gradually goes away. I've worn this foundation twice for approximately 6 hours and I haven't noticed too much oxidising or anything.
As this foundation is the perfect shade, it does not make my skin lighter or paler. Many reviewers said it made their skin luminous and very dewy, but this isn't exactly the case for me- I didn't feel anything! My skin felt and looked the same. It didn't make my skin dewy, but it didn't mattify it either, and this is what confused me.
Here are some selfies I took after application as well as a water test (see what happens if you go swimming or are stuck in the rain):
