[REVIEW]Urban Decay Ink for Eyes Waterproof Precision Eye Pen + $3 DUPE Comparison

Eyeliners are one of my favorite makeup essentials.

With just a few quick swipes and flick anyone can get that perfect winged liner which is my go to eye look.

Keep on reading to see my review on Urban Decay's Ink for Eyes Waterproof Precision Eye Pen along with a $3 dupe!

“Create envy-inducing cat eyes with ease. Ultra-waterproof and crazy-precise, our fine-tipped pen creates glossy, sharply defined lines that last all day. Draw intense, shiny, blacker-than-black lines with absolute precision. Ink for Eyes has an ultra-fine tip for a smooth, controlled application every time.

Whether you want razor-thin lines, winged cat eyes or bold, dramatic lines, Ink for Eyes does it all. Our long-wearing formula glides on smoothly (without skipping or pulling) and dries down to an ultra-waterproof finish that won’t smudge, run or feather. And the color payoff is insane! The best part? Ink for Eyes is really forgiving and so EASY to use (just like a marker)—perfect for everyone from beginners all the way to experts.

Use Ink for Eyes to create a bold, super-precise cat-eye or anytime you want a really dramatic look. The precise tip lays down ultra-precise, intensely black lines that LAST
With Ink for Eyes, the color flows smoothly every time—no need to shake the barrel first. And wait until you try the fine felt tip. It gives you insane amounts of control! Even liner newbies can draw perfect lines with Ink for Eyes. In no time, they’re laying down color in between lashes like total pros.

This waterproof, paraben-free formula comes in a gorgeous, highly metalized gunmetal component that’s easy to spot in your bag.”

It comes in a sleek gunmetal barrel with a firm ultra-fine felt tip.

The ultra-fine felt tip was firm which made it easier control. I liked how it was very easy to create super razor thin lines but it was also very easy to build it up into a thicker line.

Price – $20

Size – 0.59 ml / 0.02 fl oz

This eyeliner is pitched black with a waterproof formula. There is no need to tug the eyelids since there’s no pulling or skipping. It’s so easy to create a precised winged eyeliner. And this best thing yet? I’ve had this ever since it was released and it hasn’t dried out yet! I really enjoy using it since you can create really fine lines with the thin tip but $20 is a bit too much so I’ve listed a dupe below.
In this picture I’m wearing TWO DIFFERENT EYELINERS – one is Urban Decay’s Ink for Eyes Waterproof Precision Eye Pen and the other one is the $3 DUPE. Can you guess which one is which?

Urban Decay's Ink for Eyes Waterproof Precision Eye Pen is on the left eye and the dupe is on the right eye for both pics.
What's on my face?
  • Laura Geller's Balance-n-Bronze in Medium
  • Urban Decay's Revolution Lipstick in Anarchy
  • Left Eye - Urban Decay's Ink for Eyes
  • Right Eye - Essence's Eyeliner Pen Waterproof in Deep Black 01

The dupe is Essence’s Eyeliner Pen Waterproof in Deep Black 01 – you can buy it at ULTA for only $3:

You can still create even fine lines even though the Essence's tip is a tad bit bigger than Urban Decay's Ink for Eyes.

So my question for the day is:

Sleek Eyeshadow Palette Review

Good morning beauties!
Today, I am so (so, so, so, so) excited to present you a little haul featuring the Sleek i-Divine eyeshadow palettes. You know, the ones that are constantly being talked/raved about? Yeah, those. I decided enough was enough, and so I whipped out my credit card and did some online shopping with the delightful Luxola.com, which (if you read my blog regularly) you all know is an online beauty site/store I simply adore. It has amazing, insanely fast shipping (free on orders over $40), constantly holds incredible sales and discounts and carries a ton of exciting products and cosmetics brands.
But back to the topic of Sleek palettes.
I went ahead and picked up three, as I have read so many reviews I felt compelled to buy at least 3 palettes. My gut instincts told me I'd grow to regret not buying enough of the sleek palettes, and even at 3, I am already feeling a slight twinge of regret for not buying all of the available palettes offered on the site at a shocking 40% (cyber monday, duh!). But alas, I am still so excited to share with you my thoughts and opinions on the ahhhmazing eyeshadow palettes- so let's dive into it!

Now if you're a fan of Sleek and are familiar with the design, you'll have realised that the front of the packaging of the palette has been slightly altered. Previously, the word 'sleek' was larger and placed diagonally across the front. As you can see, the newer version/packaging has the word 'sleek' embossed in the centre, which is just something I thought I'd point out to you in case you haven't noticed.

i-Divine Ultra Matts V2 #731
i-Divine Ultra Matts V2 #731
First up- a palette loaded with gorgeous purely matte eyeshadows of varying vibrance and boldness, all of which offer medium to full coverage. Pigmentation varies between the shadows, but not drastically, making this palette great for the price you are paying. It has some very snazzy and bold colours, and it also has a handful of neutrals and fall-autumn-y shades that are simply stunning.
I personally love all the shades in this palette, which is a rare occurrence. The green/teal/turquoise shades are surprisingly wearable- you can work it any way you like; for subtlety, opt for a sheer application, for dramatic, build up on the colours and apply with a heavier hand.
I am in absolute awe when it comes to the first shadow (turquoise). It is called 'Orbit', and is so incredibly pretty. The cream shades are extra creamy and blends like a dream. The medium brown shadow somewhat vaguely resembles MAC's brown shadows (MAC combo of Soba + Sable). It also makes for a fabulous eyebrow colour if you have dark brown to brown hair (it looks perfect on asians who have bleached or dyed-brown-or-orange hair).
All in all, a perfect palette for those who want to experiment with a few new shades without being too far fetched and overly ambitious with the dramatic eye look.

... and here are the swatches.
i-Divine Storm #578
This palette is, again, incredibly wearable. I feel it is the Sleek equivalent of the Urban Decay Naked palette (the original); it has some blues, coppers, cool and warm tones, a matte sable-brown and a matte black. Pretty, sultry and gorgeous. Again, incredibly value for your money- you can do countless eye looks with just this one single palette- whether you're going for a smokey or just barely a wash of colour,  the Storm palette has you covered from A-Z.

The colour of the shadows look more true in this photo- gorgeous, isn't it?

... and here are the swatches.
i-Divine Vintage Romance #141
Last but certainly not least, we have the vintage romance palette- a stunning selection of purples, violets, blues, plums, and lighter warm tone golds. All of the shadows in this palette are metallic, and a couple that I have tried look absolutely stunning applied wet.
I was told purple shades on the eye compliment asian skin tones (fair-light-medium skin tones) very well, and decided to take the plunge. And yes, I am very much in love with the shadows in this palette. I managed to create countless different looks with this palette- all of which are suitable for a wide range of social settings; work, day, night, events...

... and here are the swatches.
I hope you enjoyed this post! It has been a awful long while since I last posted a beauty related post, and for that I sincerely apologise to my loyal readers. I am looking to post consistently and regularly in the upcoming weeks as I am about to enter my summer holidays (queue enthusiastic hoorays).
So don't fret and definitely stay tuned.

Lorac Mega Pro Palette Review

This Mega Pro Palette by Lorac is one of the most anticipated makeup palettes so far for the Holidays!

Everyone went CRAZY (...well still is going crazy) when it was released early by a glitch and I was one of the few lucky people to get my order in before they took it down their site.

Anyways, without further ado here is my review on Lorac's Mega Pro Palette!

"A 32-shade PRO Palette with 28 brand-new exclusive shades. 2x’s the number of shades with only 4 original must-have basics (White, Cream, Espresso, and Black)."

Lorac Mega Pro Palette / $59

The Lorac Mega Pro Palette have 2 rows of mattes and 2 rows of shimmer – 8 eyeshadows in each row making it 32 eyeshadows in total - unlike the original Lorac Pro Palette and the Lorac Pro Palette 2 which only have one row of mattes and one row of shimmers. The palette is made out of thin sleek cardboard with a magnetic closure and it comes in a gorgeous burgundy shade with gold font. The palette still has that same rubberized feel so nothing really changed except for the color and size - the outer box is even the same but bigger.

The quality of the eyeshadows are the same like the previous PRO Palettes – soft, buttery, and pigmented.

Price  $59
Size – 0.62 oz / 17.6 g

An amazing 32 pan eyeshadow palette for the price of only $59!

Some people may find that most of the shades in the Lorac Mega Pro Palette are redundant but you can't go wrong with neutrals. The palette does have a few bold and fun shades but if you're looking for something with a more "colorful spectrum" then check out Urban Decay's Vice 3 Palette or Too Faced's Everything Nice Set - reviews should be coming up soon.

Other than that, I would have to say that you really don't need this palette if you have the original Pro Palette and the Pro Palette 2 but what the heck, give me all of the makeup! I want it all! ;)

**I will update this post with eye looks and face of the day.
